Scrapping for a Cause
Everyone of us have tons of family pictures stored inside our albums, in cardboxes, in our computers and flash drives. We mean to put them in albums, but never get around to it- free time is often the most precious time for most of us, we’d rather do something fun than sit and slip photos in an album. Ever consider having a hobby? A hobby where you could express yourself, go back to memories and at the same time, have the best time of your life? Well if you say yes, then scrapbooking is the thing for you.
Scrapbooking started 1994 by the well known album company Creative Memories. It is a growing hobby all over the world; it is a method of preserving personal and family history in the form of photograph and clippings. A scrapbook is an album or place where you could paste photos and clippings, while a scrapbooker is the one who does scrapbooking. It is one fun way to preserve family memories and making new ones with new found friends.
This annual charity event in Michigan is for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer. St Jude was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St Jude is financially supported by its fund raising partner ALSAC.
